Pastry Instructor. Moved from Ontario to Vancouver to immerse herself in all things food at the age of 26. Graduated from Northwest Culinary Academy in 2008, worked at the Pear Tree training under Chef Scott Jaeger, then at CRU training under Alana Peckham (who are again re-united), and with Barb Finley at Project CHEF teaching elementary school children how to cook healthy food from scratch. She then moved to the South Pacific, cooking and baking in kitchens in both Australia and New Zealand, and the next few years would take her to Nepal, India, Morocco, England, Spain and France. Michelle represents many Northwest students who value travel as a vital part of one’s food (and personal) education. She brings a very creative and eclectic view to classic desserts, and has encouraged the students to be bold and courageous with flavours. Her travels also explain her amazing photography skills, which have influenced students to capture their own work and creations daily and share them on our social media. And like Stacy, she might have a gentle voice but her hard work after class with students and working on projects speak volumes.
